SPEAKER BIO

Dale Buchberger
PT, DC, CSCS, DACBSP®, ART®

Dr. Dale Buchberger has lectured internationally on sports related and repetitive strain injuries. He is Director of Physical Therapy for Victory Sports Medicine and Orthopedics and is on the post-doctoral faculty for 4 Universities. He has published articles in several peer reviewed journals including: JMPT, JSCR, MSSE and AJMS. He is a credentialed provider and instructor of Active Release Techniques® and currently serves as the team chiropractor for the Single A and Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and is Chiropractic Consultant to the Syracuse University Athletic Department. Dr. Buchberger is a Diplomate and two time President of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, and is a former associate professor at New York Chiropractic College. He was the Chiropractic Consultant to the Canadian Aerial Ski Team for the 2001-2002 Olympic medal-winning season. Dr. Buchberger maintains a private practice which is heavily focused on soft tissue treatments and rehabilitation.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

After completing this course you will be able to accurately diagnose and effectively manage common disorders of the shoulder including impingements, shoulder instability vs. laxity, labral lesions, AC joint lesions, rotator cuff lesions (tendinosis and tears), shoulder related nerve entrapments and many other conditions that affect the shoulder. This will be extremely valuable for any doctor or therapist who treats patients with shoulder problems.

This year’s course (2008) will emphasize current concepts and recent advances in clinical conditions of the shoulder, including evaluation and diagnosis. An enhanced foundation for management strategies and rehabilitation techniques will be provided and then expanded on in a follow up course in 2009.

• Please wear comfortable clothing as there are practical components to the course

If received less than 30 days in advance credit towards a future seminar/ or course (minus $50 cancellation fee) is received.
