SPEAKER BIO

Lawrence S. Bell
MSc, DC, FCCSS(C), FICC

Dr. Lawrence Bell graduated as a Chiropractor in 1979. He completed a post graduate fellowship in Sports Science and is a Chiropractic Sports Specialist. He also completed his Masters in Science in Human Nutrition in 1985. Dr. Bell has been heavily involved in many different sports disciplines and has been to over 40 international events including: the 1988 Winter Olympic Games; the 1996 & 2000 Summer Olympic Games; the 1993,' 95, '97, & '99 World Track & Field Championships; the 1990 & '92 World Triathlon; and the 1997 & '99 World Woman's Hockey Championships. Dr Bell received the Centenary Award from the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada) in 1996. He is one of only 400 Chiropractors world-wide to be honored by being nominated into the Fellowship International College of Chiropractors (FICS). He has lectured extensively on Sports Injuries, Performance Enhancement, and Nutrition both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Murray graduated from CMCC with academic honors in 1990 and attained Fellowship status with the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences in 1994. He has worked with the Canadian Rowing team for the past 14 years and has worked at over 45 national and international competitions in a variety of sports. He has been on the medical team at 3 Olympics (rowing) and was part of the host medical for the Commonwealth and Pan Am games. Dr. Murray has lectured around the world for FICS as part of the ICSSD program on both treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this course you will learn a hands-on assessment of the kinetic chain with particular attention on foot function and gait with video clips to demonstrate normal vs. faulty function. Specific adjusting techniques, soft tissue considerations and functional testing along with upper and lower extremity integration exercises will be demonstrated and practiced in break out sessions. You will walk away from this course will knowledge and skills you will be able to implement on Monday morning.

• This course is open to Personal Trainers, Kinesiologists, Massage Therapists, etc
• Continuing Education Units will be applied
• Please wear comfortable clothing as there are practical components to the course

Cancellation must be given in writing. Cancellations received less than 45 days prior to the course will be assessed a $50 cancellation fee. If received less than 30 days in advance credit towards a future seminar/ or course (minus $50 cancellation fee) is received. Somatic Senses Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any course and will not be responsible for any charges incurred by the participant. If a seminar is cancelled a full refund will be given.
